Not bad, but definitely not good either. I put this in the catagory of "bodice-ripping" stories. A paperback, romance/mystery with silly characters and a confusing plot. Anyone who believes the picture on the front cover is an Abbess in the Middle Ages may like this book. I'm not sure though.

This is a Dog's breakfast of a book. She needs a good editor and a believable and engaging plot. The suspension of disbelief required to accept a nun running around, bonking strange men, and entrusted with national secrets is beyond all. A silly book, badly written with only the historical context to mitigate the mess.
