Add a CommentLana Turner stars in this bland melodrama, portraying a small-town girl who comes to New York and makes it as a model. In 1950 Turner was too old to play someone just embarking on a modeling career, but that's really the least of this dramatically inert film's problems. The only reason to watch this is for Ann Dvorak's terrific performance as a past-her-prime model who -SPOILER ALERT!- kills herself all too soon.
Lana Turner you are a legend due to films like "A Life of Her Own". She plays an aspiring model who comes to New York from a small country town. What a change she is about to encounter. A really great cast with Ray Milland and Barry Sullivan. One thing is for sure, your going to see New York in a new light!
