Nemesis: Not only does Miss Marple have to solve a crime, but she has to discover what the actual crime is. Her only starting point is a ticket for a bus tour of historic homes. Not all of the bus passengers are on the tour by chance and, when one of them ends up dead, Miss Marple is drawn further into circumstances which grow more strange and sinister.
Murder at the vicarage: Jane Marple has her work cut out in the murder of the unpopular Colonel Protheroe in St. Mary Mead.
At Bertram's Hotel: When Miss Marple decides to vacation at Bertram's Hotel, a seemingly solid and respectable hotel, she feels something sinister beneath the veneer. When a respectable clergyman vanishes and a doorman turns up dead, Miss Marple and the police get suspicious.
The moving finger: A rash of poison-pen letters has been causing quite a stir in the village of Lymston. Miss Marple is called in to help after a suspicious suicide and a murder occur.
