Love these books. The characters feel like part of my family. Hopefully there will be more books in the future.

Jan Karon’s Mitford series are such an interesting read that make me feel great and with a huge desire to be a better person. It’s a real pleasure to read about all these good people, Father Tim and his wife Cynthia who are back from Ireland and he is still having trouble adjusting to retirement. I truly enjoyed reading this book where the weaknesses, mistakes, sympathies and love are ideally blend.

Time spent in Mitford with Father Tim is time well spent.

I have read all the Mitford books, they are delightful. You become friends with the characters and all their quirkiness. Father Tim can be a real hoot, and Cynthia is a delight. Strongly recommend all of these books to someone who is just discovering them. Great reads - you will be glad for the time you spend with the characters and the town of Mitford.

Oh, I do so love the Mitford books! Love the way they're written, love the characters, love the humour, the compassion, the interaction between the characters, the story and the way all the little threads are drawn together in the telling thereof ... My only regret is that Father Tim and his kin are all growing older - as is the author - which means that somewhere down the line, there will have to be an ending ... :((
