Michel Houellebecq, possibly the most widely read living French writer, was believed kidnapped on September 16, 2011. But was he really? After a flurry of media reports of his abduction, the story goes cold and Michel, famously reclusive, refuses to set the record straight.

Strange movie just like his books. Hard to rate, you either like it or it leaves you neutral.

Boring - life is too short to waste a couple of hours on an uninteresting movie like this!! P.S. -it's not funny!!

Very funny and interesting to watch. An incredible false story, but it looks like a real documentary. Very well done. Michel Houellebecq is fascinating in his own character.
