I totally enjoyed this book, could not put it down, read it within 24 hours. However, I hated the movie, because it trivialized the book. This is not just a survival book, although living in the mountains of Colorado, I could really picture what was being described. I felt the author treated the setting fairly and was realistic about it and the flora and fauna. And yes, a whole part of the story is the problem-solving of surviving. But Mr. Martin has the two main characters explore and discuss what is married love. There is a bit of a mystery around the male character's relationship with his wife, which surprised me in the end. I thought it was beautifully handled. And I liked the way Martin handled the relationship between the two main characters. Perfect for a long plane ride, or a vacation! But don't watch the movie...
