As the toys experience their first night out, Wonderdoll relates a tale of abduction to pass the time. Quite often the toys interject with their own thoughts (being the embodiment of the thoughts of a child reading this), so Wonderdoll changes the story to meet their requests. For this, the pages are split into panels, from which the group can observe events. For toys who have been forgotten outside, the topic of a lost stuffed animal getting found again is appropriate. While there are more emotional books dealing with the topic (ex. Red Ted and the Lost Things), this one distances itself by speaking through a story, leaving it with a lighter tone and more obvious ending.
