My Name Is Mahtob

a Daring Escape, a Life of Fear, and the Forgiveness That Set Me Free

This is the autobiography of the little girl whose kidnapping by her Iranian father inspired the book "Not Without My Daughter", written by her mother. There was also a feature film starring Sally Fields about it. The girl is now a woman and has come forward to tell her account and memories of the incident and the life she has fought so hard to repeatedly build every time her father would try to get to her. She has overcome the fear and the obstacles her father kept putting in her life and is now at peace, having forgiven her father for his actions and is now able to honor her Persian ancestry. A wonderful read, though heartbreaking at times. Recommended by Linda
